Why We Use a Submission Form

Managing a successful compost program requires data and consistency. When you submit your compost details, you help our facility managers monitor the balance of "greens" (nitrogen-rich materials) and "browns" (carbon-rich materials). This ensures the pile maintains the correct temperature and aeration necessary to break down organic matter into nutrient-dense humus efficiently.

What You Can Submit

To keep our soil healthy and free of contaminants, please only submit the following items:

• Fruit and vegetable scraps
• Coffee grounds and paper filters
• Eggshells (crushed)
• Dry leaves and grass clippings
• Untreated cardboard or shredded newspaper

Tips for Successful Composting

Before bringing your materials, please ensure they are free of plastic, metal, or chemicals. Even "compostable" plastics often require industrial facilities and may not break down in our local community bin.
