Admission Requirements

• Academic Qualifications A masters degree (or equivalent) in a related discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
• English Proficiency TOEFL 80 (iBT) or IELTS 6.5. Applicants whose previous degree was taught in English are exempt.
• Research Proposal 1,5002,000 words outlining research questions, methodology, and expected contribution.
• Letters of Recommendation Two academic references, preferably from former supervisors.
• Personal Statement 800word essay on academic motivations and career goals.
• Application Form & Fees Completed online form and a nonrefundable processing fee of CNY 1,000 ( USD 150).

Funding & Scholarships

UCASS provides several financial support schemes for international doctoral candidates:

• Chinese Government Scholarship (CSC) Full tuition waiver, monthly stipend (CNY 3,0003,500), and health insurance.
• UCASS International Talent Fund Up to CNY 200,000 per student for three years, covering research expenses.
• Joint Supervision Grants Collaborative projects with overseas universities may include additional funding.
• Teaching Assistantship Parttime teaching duties (1015 hrs/week) with a stipend of CNY 2,000/month.
