Air Pollution and Its Impact on Human Health

What Is Air Pollution?

Air pollution is the presence of substances in the atmosphere that are harmful to human health or the environment. The most common pollutants include:

  • Particulate Matter (PM) PM. (diameter 2.5m) and PM (diameter 10m)
  • Ozone (O) formed by sunlight reacting with nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds
  • Nitrogen Dioxide (NO)
  • Sulfur Dioxide (SO)
