What Is CORAL Startup Academy?
CORAL (Creative Opportunities for Renewable and Agile Learning) Startup Academy is a sixmonth intensive incubator designed for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to turn innovative ideas into viable businesses. Founded in 2020, the academy blends mentorship, handson training, and a supportive community to accelerate the growth of earlystage ventures across technology, sustainability, health, and social impact sectors.
The academy operates out of a bright, collaborative campus in the heart of the city, but all core modules are also available online. Through a blend of workshops, realworld projects, and direct access to investors, participants leave the program with a validated product, a clear gotomarket strategy, and a network of peers and advisors ready to support them beyond graduation.

Why Join CORAL?
The academy offers a holistic set of benefits that go beyond conventional training. Below are the key advantages experienced by past cohorts.
Mentorship from Industry Leaders
Every participant is paired with a mentor who has successfully launched at least two companies. Mentors provide strategic guidance, open doors to contacts, and help navigate common pitfalls.
HandsOn Funding Opportunities
Graduates have access to a seed fund of $250,000, reserved exclusively for academy alumni. In addition, the final investorday often results in followon investments ranging from $50,000 to $1million.
Live Project Experience
Rather than learning abstract theory, participants work on an actual market problem from day1. This learning by doing methodology ensures that each startup has a functioning prototype by the end of Phase1.
Community & Network
The academys alumni network now includes over 500 founders, investors, and service providers. Regular networking events, hackathons, and alumni meetups keep the community vibrant and supportive.
Application Process
Applications open twice a year in March and September. The selection process consists of three steps:
- Online Application: Submit a brief description of your idea, a short video (max2minutes), and your CV.
- Live Interview: Shortlisted candidates are invited to a 30minute interview with the admissions panel.
- Assessment Day: Finalists attend a halfday workshop where they pitch their idea to faculty and receive realtime feedback.
Successful applicants receive a scholarship that covers tuition, accommodation, and a startup stipend. Partial scholarships are also available for candidates with demonstrated need.
