  • Project Work: Science labs, computer projects, and social studies fieldwork are evaluated separately.
  • Board Examination (Grade10): Six main papers English, Second Language, Mathematics, Science, History & Civics, and an elective (Geography/Economics/Computer). Each paper is 3 hours, with a mix of objective, short answer, and essay questions.
  • Grading Scale: Marks are converted to grades (A1 to E) with a minimum of 33% required to pass each subject.

Effective Study Strategies

  1. Plan Ahead: Use a weekly planner. Allocate more time to subjects you find challenging.
  2. Active Reading: Summarize each paragraph, make margin notes, and ask questions while studying textbooks.
  3. Practice Past Papers: Familiarise yourself with the exam pattern and time management.
  4. Group Discussions: Discuss history events or scientific concepts with peers to deepen understanding.
  5. Lab Work: Record observations meticulously; many science questions are based on experimental data.
  6. Language Skills: Write essays regularly, practise essay outlines, and read widely to improve vocabulary.
  7. Use Technology: Educational apps, online quizzes, and interactive simulations can reinforce learning.
  8. Health Balance: Ensure adequate sleep, regular physical activity, and short breaks during study sessions.
