Many students find the timing to be the greatest challenge. Attempt practice tests while strictly adhering to the 60-minute limit. As you progress, try to allocate roughly 20 minutes to each passage, keeping in mind that the passages generally increase in difficulty.

3. Focus on Signpost Words

Words like "however," "consequently," "on the other hand," and "furthermore" are vital. They help you follow the logic of the author and identify whether the text is transitioning to a counter-argument or providing supporting evidence.

Common Pitfalls

• Over-thinking: The answers are always contained within the text. Avoid using outside knowledge to answer questions; if it is not explicitly mentioned, it cannot be "True."
• Ignoring Instructions: Always check if you are limited to "one word only" or "no more than two words." Writing more than the allowed limit results in a mark of zero for that question.
• Spelling Errors: Spelling counts. Even if your answer is logically correct, a misspelling will lead to the loss of a mark.
