Tips for Using This Answer Sheet Effectively
- Read the question first. Knowing what type of answer is required (e.g., True/False/Not Given) helps you locate relevant information faster.
- Underline key words. In the passage, look for synonyms of those words; IELTS often paraphrases.
- Check the word limit. Shortanswer questions must not exceed the stated number of words; otherwise the answer is marked wrong.
- Validate every choice. Even if an answer looks right, scan the surrounding sentences to ensure there isnt a subtle qualifier that changes the meaning.
- Practice time management. Allocate roughly 20 minutes per passage, leaving 5 minutes at the end to review any doubtful answers.
