Frequently Asked Questions

IEI Grants are available to organizations rather than individuals. Individual educators should apply through their employing organization.

Applications are evaluated based on community need, cultural relevance, feasibility, sustainability, and potential impact by a committee of Indigenous educators, elders, and subject matter experts.

IEI Grants may fund minor renovations but are not intended for major construction projects. Infrastructure projects should primarily support direct educational programming.

Grant recipients must submit quarterly progress reports, an annual financial report, and a final project report documenting outcomes. Larger grants may require external audits.
