International Journal for Vitamin and Nutrition Research

Overview

The International Journal for Vitamin and Nutrition Research (IJVNR) is a peerreviewed, openaccess scholarly journal devoted to the most recent advances in the fields of vitamin science, micronutrient biochemistry, and human nutrition. Established in 2010, IJVNR has grown into a reputable platform for researchers, clinicians, dietitians, and policy makers who wish to disseminate highquality, evidencebased findings that can influence public health and clinical practice worldwide.

Published quarterly, each issue contains original research articles, systematic reviews, metaanalyses, short communications, and occasional editorials that address emerging topics such as nutrigenomics, functional foods, and the role of vitamins in chronic disease prevention.

Scope & Aims

IJVNR seeks to bridge the gap between basic science and applied nutrition. Its primary objectives are:

  • To publish cuttingedge research on the metabolism, bioavailability, and physiological functions of vitamins and related micronutrients.
  • To explore the interaction between diet, genetics, and nutritionrelated health outcomes.
  • To provide a forum for interdisciplinary studies that integrate food science, clinical nutrition, epidemiology, and public health policy.

Typical topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Vitamin D and bone health, immune modulation, and cancer risk.
  • Watersoluble vitamins (Bcomplex, C) and their role in metabolic pathways.
  • Biofortification and fortification strategies to address micronutrient deficiencies.
  • Interactions between vitamins and pharmaceuticals.
  • Populationbased nutrition surveys and surveillance.
  • Innovative analytical methods for vitamin quantification.

Submission Process

Authors are invited to submit manuscripts through the journals online submission system. The process consists of the following steps:

  1. Manuscript Preparation Follow the author guidelines for formatting, reference style (APA 7th), and required sections.
  2. Online Submission Register an account, upload the manuscript, cover letter, and any supplementary files.
  3. Initial Editorial Check The editorial office screens for scope, originality, and compliance with ethical standards.
  4. Peer Review Typically two to three independent reviewers evaluate the scientific merit, methodology, and relevance.
  5. Decision Authors receive one of the following outcomes: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.
  6. Production Accepted papers undergo copyediting, typesetting, and final proof approval before publication.

All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, ensuring free access and redistribution with appropriate credit.
