Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a standardsaligned Korean immersion curriculum for grades K5, integrating Minnesota Learning Standards across content areas.
- Collaborate with Englishlanguage teachers to create interdisciplinary units that reinforce concept mastery in both languages.
- Assess student progress using formative and summative tools, providing feedback in both Korean and English.
- Organize cultural events, language clubs, and community trips that deepen students appreciation of Korean heritage.
- Participate in professional learning communities, mentor new staff, and contribute to schoolwide immersion initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Education, Korean Studies, or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Valid Minnesota teaching certificate or eligibility for certification.
- Fluency in Korean (native or nearnative proficiency) and strong command of English.
- Minimum of two years of classroom experience, preferably in a duallanguage or immersion environment.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including English language learners (ELLs) and students with special needs.
- Passion for cultural exchange and willingness to engage families and the wider community.
