Korean Language Program

Welcome to the Korean Language Program at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS). Our modern, intensive program is designed for international students, professionals, and scholars who wish to develop highlevel Korean proficiency while experiencing South Koreas rich culture.

Program Overview

The HUFS Korean Language Program (KLP) has been a cornerstone of the universitys global outreach since 1990. It offers three main tracks:

  • Intensive FullTime Track 2030 contact hours per week, ideal for rapid language acquisition.
  • PartTime Evening Track 1012 contact hours per week, allowing students to balance work or other studies.
  • Summer Intensive 4week immersion courses that focus on conversation, reading, and writing.

All tracks use a communicative approach, integrating speaking, listening, reading, and writing from day one. Small class sizes (max 15 students) guarantee personalized feedback and ample speaking practice.
