Shaping the Future of Healthcare

Join one of the largest and most prestigious medical schools in the UK, renowned for its innovative curriculum, world-leading research, and exceptional clinical placement opportunities.

A Tradition of Excellence

Manchester Medical School boasts a rich history dating back to 1874 when it was established at Owens College. Today, we are the largest medical school in the UK, training approximately 1,400 undergraduate medical students and 1,000 postgraduate students across our diverse campuses.

Our mission is to improve human health through the generation and dissemination of knowledge, and the translation of science and engineering into clinical practice. We are proud to be consistently ranked among the top medical institutions globally for both our teaching quality and our research impact.

What truly sets Manchester apart is our integrated approach. From day one, students benefit from early clinical contact, learning not just the science of medicine, but the art of compassionate patient care within the vibrant NHS context.
