Marks Entry Guidelines
Updated: These guidelines were revised on January 15, 2023, as per the Academic Council's recommendations.
General Instructions
- All marks must be entered within the specified deadline for each semester.
- Faculty members are responsible for the accuracy of entered marks.
- Once submitted for review, marks cannot be modified without Department Head's approval.
- All marks must follow the university's grading system and guidelines.
Marking Scheme
- Internal Assessment: 30 marks
- End Term Examination: 70 marks
- Total: 100 marks
- Passing Marks: 40% of total marks (40/100)
Approval Process
- Faculty members enter marks for their respective courses.
- Marks are submitted to the Department Head for initial review.
- After Department Head approval, marks go to the Examination Controller.
- Final approval is granted by the Principal before publication.
Common Errors to Avoid
- Entering marks that exceed the allocated number (e.g., entering more than 30 marks for internal assessment)
- Submitting incomplete marks (missing entries for some students)
- Entering marks for incorrect student roll numbers
- Failing to enter marks for special cases like medical leave, supplementary exams, etc.
