As the costs of solar and wind technologies continue to plummet, many nations are finding that renewable energy is not only better for the planet but also more cost-effective than building new coal or gas plants.

However, the transition faces challenges. Non-renewable sources provide "baseload" power, meaning they are available 24/7. Renewable sources like solar and wind are intermittentthey only produce power when the sun shines or the wind blows. Therefore, modernizing our electrical grids with advanced battery storage and smart distribution systems is the critical next step in the energy revolution.
