The STEM Scholarship 2022 is a competitive, meritbased award designed to support undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Sponsored by a coalition of universities, corporations, and nonprofit organizations, the program aims to reduce financial barriers, encourage diverse participation, and cultivate the next generation of innovators.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following basic criteria:
Be enrolled (or planning to enroll) in an accredited college or university in the United States.
Declare a major or field of study within the STEM umbrella including but not limited to biology, chemistry, computer science, data analytics, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or environmental science.
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Demonstrate financial need (for needbased awards) or outstanding academic and extracurricular achievement (for meritbased awards).
Be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa that permits study in the United States.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The 2022 award package may include one or more of the following components, depending on the specific grant:
Tuition assistance: Up to $10,000 per academic year.
Living stipend: $2,500$4,000 per semester.
Books and supplies: Onetime reimbursement of up to $1,000.
Research grant: Funding for independent projects, lab work, or conference travel.
Mentorship program: Pairing with industry professionals and faculty advisors.
Internship placement: Access to exclusive summer internships at partner companies.
How to Apply
The application process is straightforward but highly competitive. Follow these steps:
Create an account: Visit the official scholarship portal and register with a valid email address.
Complete personal information: Provide contact details, academic history, and citizenship status.
Upload supporting documents: Include unofficial transcripts, a current rsum, two letters of recommendation (preferably one academic and one professional), and a personal statement of 500800 words.
Answer supplemental questions: Topics may include your career goals, a description of a STEM project youve led, and how you plan to give back to the community.
