• Forming sentences with proper capitalization and punctuation.
• Dictation practice short sentences (57 words).
• Creative writing: personal recounts, descriptive paragraphs about holidays, seasons.

Grammar & Vocabulary

• Parts of speech: nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives.
• Simple tenses present simple, past simple.
• Common sight words, opposites, synonyms and antonyms.

Mathematics

Number System

• Counting, reading and writing numbers up to 1000.
• Place value concepts units, tens, hundreds.
• Even and odd numbers, basic rounding.

Operations

• Addition and subtraction within 1000 using mental, columnar and wordproblem methods.
• Introduction to multiplication (tables 2, 5, 10) and simple division.

Geometry & Measurement

• Identifying 2D shapes (square, rectangle, triangle, circle) and 3D solids (cube, sphere, cylinder).
• Understanding concepts of length, weight and capacity using nonstandard and standard units.
• Reading and drawing simple pictures on grid paper.

Data Handling

• Collecting data through simple surveys.

• Interpreting basic information from charts.
