Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick Scholarship
The Tourism Industry Association of New Brunswick (TIANB) Scholarship is a prestigious award designed to support students who demonstrate a passion for tourism, hospitality, and the vibrant culture of New Brunswick. Established to nurture future leaders, the scholarship reflects the associations commitment to building a skilled workforce that will sustain and grow the provinces tourism sector.
The scholarship is open to:
Each award provides up to CAD2,500 towards tuition, books, or related educational expenses. In some cases, multiple awards are granted in a single year, allowing a broader group of students to benefit.
All materials must be uploaded through the secure portal on the TIANB website before the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
A panel consisting of tourism industry leaders, educators, and TIANB board members evaluates applications based on academic achievement, community involvement, and demonstrated commitment to the tourism sector.
Successful candidates are notified by email in early summer. Winners are also announced at the annual TIANB conference.
The TIANB Scholarship not only eases financial pressure but also connects recipients with a network of tourism professionals across the province. Past scholars have secured internships, mentorships, and fulltime positions with leading hotels, tour operators, and cultural institutions.
Emma Lvesque (Class of 2022) A hospitality management student from Moncton used the scholarship to complete a studyabroad term in France. Upon returning, she secured a management trainee role with a regional hotel chain and now mentors new applicants.
Jordan McAllister (Class of 2021) Graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. The award funded his certification in pastry arts, leading to a position as head pastry chef at a boutique B&B in Saint Andrews.
