About TriC Youth Athletics
TriC Youth Athletics is a notforprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable, highquality athletic experiences for children and teens in the tricounty region of Central California. Founded in 2010 by a group of former coaches, teachers, and parents, the organisation operates under the principles of inclusivity, personal growth, and community collaboration.
Our mission is simple: to develop wellrounded athletes who are physically healthy, mentally resilient, and socially responsible. We achieve this by offering structured training sessions, mentorship programs, and outreach initiatives that emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic achievement.
Programs and Services
1. Seasonal Sport Leagues
We run spring, summer, and fall leagues for basketball, soccer, track & field, and volleyball. Each league follows a progressive curriculum designed by certified coaches, ensuring ageappropriate skill development.
2. AfterSchool Clinics
Our afterschool clinics operate at local middle and high schools, providing 90minute sessions that focus on technique, conditioning, and leadership. The clinics are free for families who qualify for our needbased assistance.
3. Summer Camps
Twoweek intensive camps are offered each summer. Campers experience a blend of sport-specific training, nutrition workshops, and characterbuilding activities such as community service projects.
4. Coaching Education
We provide ongoing professional development for volunteer coaches, including certification courses, safety training, and mentorship from experienced staff.
5. Academic Support
Recognizing the link between education and athletic success, we partner with local tutoring centres to offer homework help and collegepreparation resources after practices.
Community Impact
Since our inception, TriC Youth Athletics has served over 12,000 participants across the region. Here are some of the measurable outcomes that illustrate our influence:
- 85% of athletes report improved confidence and selfesteem after one season.
- 70% of participants maintain regular physical activity beyond the programme.
- Scholarships awarded to 45 athletes for college sports programs.
- Over 300 volunteer hours contributed by community members each month.
Our success stories are rooted in personal relationships. Alumni like Maya Torres, who earned an athletic scholarship to a DivisionII university, credit TriC for teaching them perseverance and leadership. Similarly, former coach Luis Hernandez says the program has reenergized our whole neighbourhood kids stay in school, families gather for games, and local businesses see more traffic during tournament weekends.
How You Can Help
TriC Youth Athletics relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations. Your support can take many forms:

We are always looking for coaches, referees, event staff, and mentors. Training is provided, and volunteers gain valuable experience while making a direct impact on youth.
Corporate Partnerships
