Examination Overview

Examination Guidelines

Important Notice for All Candidates

  • All candidates were required to bring their admit cards to the examination center for each paper.
  • Candidates were allowed to bring only necessary stationery items into the examination hall.
  • Electronic devices including mobile phones, calculators, and smartwatches were strictly prohibited.
  • Candidates were instructed to report at the examination center at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
  • No candidate was allowed to leave the examination hall before the first 30 minutes of the examination.

Examination Format

The TYBA Semester VI Examination followed a comprehensive assessment pattern designed to evaluate students' knowledge, understanding, and application of the subject matter. The examination papers were structured as follows:

  • Theory Papers: All theory papers were of 3 hours duration and carried 80 marks. These comprised a mix of objective questions, short answer questions, and detailed descriptive questions.
  • Internal Assessment: 20 marks were allocated to internal assessment, which included assignments, class participation, and mid-semester examinations.
  • Practical/Project Work: Certain subjects included practical examinations or project work, which were evaluated separately and carried 100 marks.

Result Declaration

Result Announcement

The results of the TYBA Semester VI Examination for the Summer Session 2021 were officially declared on August 25, 2021. Students could access their results through the university's official website by entering their examination roll number. The mark sheets were made available at the respective colleges approximately two weeks after the result declaration.

Revaluation and Rechecking Procedure

Students dissatisfied with their results had the option to apply for revaluation or rechecking of their answer scripts. The procedure was as follows:

  • The application for revaluation/rechecking had to be submitted within 15 days from the date of result declaration.
  • The prescribed fee for revaluation was INR 500 per paper and for rechecking was INR 300 per paper.
  • The revaluation process involved a thorough re-examination of the answer scripts by a different examiner.
  • Rechecking only verified the totaling of marks and ensured that all answers had been evaluated.
  • The results of revaluation/rechecking were declared approximately 30 days after the submission of applications.

Passing Criteria and Grading System

The University followed a comprehensive grading system for the TYBA Semester VI Examination:

  • Minimum passing marks were 40% in each theory paper and 40% in practical examinations.
  • Students had to secure an aggregate of 40% across all subjects to pass the semester.
  • The grading scale was as follows:
    • O (Outstanding): 75% and above
    • A+ (Excellent): 70% - 74.9%
    • A (Very Good): 60% - 69.9%
    • B+ (Good): 55% - 59.9%
    • B (Above Average): 50% - 54.9%
    • C (Average): 40% - 49.9%
    • F (Fail): Below 40%

Certificate and Degree Award

Upon successful completion of the TYBA Semester VI Examination and all previous semesters, students were awarded the Bachelor of Arts degree. The degree certificates were distributed at the annual convocation ceremony held in December 2021. Students who successfully completed their degree were also provided with:

  • Original degree certificate
  • Detailed mark sheets for all semesters

  • Provisional degree certificate (until the convocation)
