The ViceChancellors International Scholarship (VCIS) is a prestigious award designed to attract outstanding students from around the world to pursue undergraduate or postgraduate studies at our university. Established to promote academic excellence, cultural exchange, and global leadership, the scholarship recognises individuals who have demonstrated impressive academic records, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service.
Each year, a limited number of scholarships are offered across a wide range of faculties, including Arts & Humanities, Science & Engineering, Business, Health Sciences, and Social Sciences. The VCIS is fully funded, covering tuition fees, a living allowance, and a modest travel grant.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet all of the following conditions:
Be a nonresident of the host country and have not previously studied at this university.
Hold an academic qualification equivalent to the entry requirements of the chosen programme.
Achieve a minimum overall grade of 85% (or equivalent) in the most recent academic year.
Demonstrate fluency in English (IELTS6.5 or TOEFL90). Some programmes may require higher scores.
Provide evidence of leadership, community involvement, or extracurricular distinction.
Submit a full, original application; previous recipients of this specific scholarship are not eligible to reapply.
What the Scholarship Covers
The VCIS is a comprehensive package that includes:
Tuition fees 100% of the standard tuition for the entire duration of the programme.
Living allowance An annual stipend calibrated to the cost of living in the university city (approximately $12,000USD per year).
Travel grant Up to $2,000USD for roundtrip air travel at the start and end of the award.
Health insurance Full coverage for the duration of the scholarship.
Academic support Access to mentorship programmes, research opportunities, and language workshops.
Application Process
Follow these steps to apply for the ViceChancellors International Scholarship:
Check Programme Eligibility Verify that your chosen course is listed as eligible for the VCIS.
Create an Account Register on the universitys online portal and complete the personal details section.
Prepare Required Documents Gather academic transcripts, English proficiency certificates, a curriculum vitae, two academic references, and a personal statement (max 1,500 words) that answers the scholarship questions.
Submit the Application Upload all documents before the deadline (usually 1March for September intake). Late submissions are not entertained.
Selection Process Applications are reviewed by a panel of senior academics. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an online interview.
Decision Notification Successful applicants receive an official offer letter by 30April.
Acceptance & Visa Accept the offer, pay any required deposit for accommodation (if applicable), and apply for a student visa.
