What is Sugarcane?

Sugarcane holds cultural importance in many societies. In India, it's associated with festivals and traditional rituals, particularly during harvest celebrations. In Brazil, sugarcane has shaped national identity and cuisine, with cane juice (garapa) being a popular beverage and cane syrup used in traditional dishes.

Caribbean nations celebrate their sugarcane heritage through music, cuisine, and festivals that acknowledge the complex history of sugar production, including its connection to slavery.
