In response to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic, the Institute of Pharmacy and Technology is preparing to resume oncampus (offline) instruction for the upcoming semester. The health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and the wider community remain our highest priority. To ensure a safe learning environment, we have adopted a comprehensive set of precautionary measures in line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, the World Health Organization (WHO) and local authorities.
Key Safety Measures at IPT
Mandatory Face Coverings: All individuals on campus must wear a certified mask at all times, except while eating or drinking in designated areas.
Temperature Screening: Thermal scanners will be positioned at all entry points. Anyone with a temperature of 37.5C (99.5F) or higher will be denied entry and directed to a medical officer.
Physical Distancing: Classrooms will be reconfigured to maintain at least 1meter (3feet) between students. Lecture halls will operate at reduced capacity.
Hand Hygiene: Handsanitizing stations are installed throughout the campus. Students must sanitize hands upon entry and before leaving each classroom.
Regular Disinfection: Hightouch surfaces, including desks, chairs, door handles, and equipment, are cleaned multiple times a day with approved disinfectants.
Ventilation: All classrooms are equipped with enhanced ventilation systems; windows will be kept open where feasible.
Contact Tracing: Attendance will be logged digitally. In case of a confirmed case, rapid contact tracing will be initiated.
Testing Protocol: Students exhibiting symptoms or identified as close contacts must undergo a rapid antigen test before returning to campus.
