The Crown Employees Award, administered by the Office of Sport Services Officers (OSSO), recognises outstanding contribution, innovation and dedication among Crown employees who support sport and recreation across government departments. Established in 2010, the award highlights the vital role that service officers play in delivering highquality, accessible sport programmes for citizens of all ages. Each year, a selection panel evaluates nominations against a set of core criteria leadership, community engagement, excellence in service delivery and the promotion of healthy, active lifestyles. Winners are celebrated at a formal ceremony attended by senior officials, community partners and the media. To be considered for the Crown Employees Award, applicants must meet the following requirements: Employees may be nominated by colleagues, supervisors, or community partners who have witnessed their impact. Acknowledges outstanding projects that have significantly increased sport participation or improved facilities for underserved groups. Celebrates creative solutions, such as digital platforms, new programming models or sustainable infrastructure, that enhance the efficiency and reach of sport services. The nomination timeline follows a structured sequence to ensure fairness and transparency: All documentation must be uploaded via the secure portal.
