Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), is a staterun university located in Lucknow, India. Established in 2000, it oversees more than 1,000 affiliated colleges across Uttar Pradesh, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in engineering, architecture, pharmacy, management, and applied sciences. The university was created by the Uttar Pradesh government under the Uttar Pradesh Technical University Act, 2000.
