Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University, governs the undergraduate pharmacy programme in the state. The fourth year of B.Pharm is the final professional semester where students consolidate theoretical knowledge, acquire advanced laboratory skills, and complete a major industryoriented project. The curriculum is designed in accordance with the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) guidelines and reflects the latest trends in pharmaceutical sciences. The academic year is divided into two semesters Semester7 (JulyDecember) and Semester8 (JanuaryJune). Each semester carries a total of 20credits, making the total credit load for the final year 40credits. The evaluation of each paper follows a blended assessment model that incorporates internal continuous assessment (ICA) and external university examinations. The weightage is fixed by AKTU for every paper. The Universityconducted End Semester Examination carries 55% of the total marks for each theory paper. For practical subjects, the practical exam contributes the remaining 15% (total 70% for labpapers). A student may apply for reevaluation of answer scripts within 7 days of result publication. If unsatisfied, a reappearance (supplementary) can be taken for the failed paper(s) during the next allowed session, without repeating the whole semester. Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) is calculated as: Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) after the final year is the mean of SGPA of all eight semesters.
