About the Scholarship
The Kings Scholars of Tomorrow (KSOT) Scholarship is anational initiative designed to identify, support, and celebrate highpotential students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to community service. Established in 2015 by the King Foundation, the program provides financial assistance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to undergraduatelevel scholars across the United States.
KSOT is more than a tuitionaid award; it is a holistic development platform that connects scholars with industry leaders, alumni mentors, and a vibrant peer network. The scholarship aims to create a pipeline of socially responsible leaders who will shape the future in fields ranging from science and technology to the arts, public policy, and entrepreneurship.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Kings Scholars of Tomorrow Scholarship, applicants must meet the following core requirements:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Be enrolled fulltime in an accredited college or university, pursuing a bachelor's degree.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Demonstrate leadership experience through clubs, student government, sports, or community projects.
- Submit at least two letters of recommendationone academic and one from a community or professional mentor.
- Write a 500word essay describing a personal challenge, how it was overcome, and how the experience aligns with the scholarships mission.
Additional considerations include financial need, fields of study that address critical societal challenges, and a demonstrated commitment to service.

- Annual Stipend: $10,000 per academic year, renewable for up to three years provided GPA and involvement criteria are met.

Application Process
The application cycle runs annually from January 1 to March 31. Follow these steps to submit a complete application:
- Create an Account: Register on the KSOT portal (ksot.org/apply) with your full name, email, and a secure password.
- Complete the Online Form: Provide personal details, academic information, and a rsum of extracurricular activities.
- Upload Supporting Documents: Transcripts, recommendation letters, and your essay in PDF format.
- Submit the Application Fee: A nonrefundable $25 fee may be waived for applicants with documented financial hardship.
- Review and Confirmation: Verify all entries, then click Submit. You will receive an automated confirmation email with a tracking number.
All applications are reviewed by a panel of educators, industry leaders, and KSOT alumni. Shortlisted candidates are invited for a virtual interview conducted in April.
