What is the Kings Scholarship?
The Kings Scholarship is a prestigious award that recognises academic excellence, leadership potential and community involvement among highachieving students. It was established by the Kings Foundation in partnership with leading universities and private sponsors to help promising scholars realise their ambitions without financial constraints.
Although the scholarship is named after a royal patron, it is open to applicants from a wide range of backgrounds, subject areas, and countries. Each year the programme supports a select cohort of undergraduates and postgraduate students who demonstrate a commitment to academic rigour, civic engagement, and personal growth.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following basic requirements:
- Be accepted or have a conditional offer for a fulltime degree programme at a participating university.
- Achieve a minimum overall academic grade of 3.7/4.0 (or equivalent) in the most recent completed study.
- Demonstrate leadership experience through clubs, societies, volunteer work or professional activities.
- Show evidence of community service or social impact initiatives.
- Submit a personal statement, two academic references, and a rsum.

- Shortlist & Interview Around 150 candidates are invited to a video interview with the scholarship panel.
- Final Decision Successful scholars are notified in early March and offered a place for the upcoming academic year.
All documents must be submitted in PDF format and adhere to the filesize limits indicated on the portal. Late or incomplete applications are not considered.
