B.Sc. Fashion Design Syllabus (Punjab Technical University)
The Bachelor of Science in Fashion Design offered by Punjab Technical University (PTU) is a threeyear, sixsemester undergraduate programme aimed at developing creative, technical and managerial competence in aspiring fashion professionals. The syllabus integrates fundamentals of design, textile science, garment construction, fashion communication and industryrelevant software tools, while also encouraging research and entrepreneurship.
Program Structure
The course is divided into six semesters. Each semester carries a total of 120130 credits, combining theory, practical labs, projects, internships and seminars. The distribution of credits across core, elective and skillbased subjects is shown below.

Assessment Methods
Evaluation combines continuous internal assessment (40%) and endsemester examinations (40%). The remaining 20% is weighted towards project work, internships and presentations. Specific assessment tools include:
