Mission

To promote and implement quality early childhood care education and parenting programs through research, training, capacity building, and community engagement that supports the holistic development of young children in Southeast Asia.

This mission is guided by the principles of inclusive education, equity, cultural sensitivity, and sustainability. SEAMEO CECCEP aims to bridge the gaps in early childhood education access and quality that exist between and within the SEAMEO member countries.

Early Childhood Care Education Enhancement

SEAMEO CECCEP develops and implements programs to improve the quality of early childhood education services across the region. This includes curriculum development, teacher training, instructional material creation, and the establishment of quality standards. The center works with local contexts while incorporating evidence-based practices that have proven effective in similar settings worldwide.

Parenting Education and Support

Recognizing parents as the first and most enduring educators of their children, SEAMEO CECCEP offers programs designed to enhance parenting knowledge and skills. These programs focus on child development, positive discipline methods, nutrition, health, and creating learning environments at home. Parenting support systems are also developed to help families access needed resources and networks.

Capacity Building for ECCE Professionals
