TSPSC Divisional Accounts Officer (Grade2) Syllabus 2022

The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) released the official syllabus for the Divisional Accounts Officer (DAO) Grade2 recruitment in 2022. 2.1 General Studies Paper I (GSI)

2.2 General Studies Paper II (GSII)

  • Quantitative Aptitude Arithmetic (percentage, profitloss, ratio, timework), algebra, geometry, mensuration, data sufficiency.

3. Detailed Syllabus Main Examination

3.1 PaperI & PaperII (General Studies)

Both papers together carry 400 marks and cover the same subjects as the prelims but in greater depth. Emphasis is placed on analytical answers, essaytype questions and case studies.

Q1. What is the minimum qualifying marks for the prelims?

TSPSC generally sets the qualifying cutoff at 30% of the total marks for each paper. However, the final cutoff is decided after the results are published, based on the difficulty level and candidate performance.

Q2. Is there negative marking?

Yes. Each incorrect answer in the objective prelims carries a penalty of mark.

Q3. Can a candidate appear for both the prelims and mains without a cutoff?

No. A candidate must secure the minimum qualifying marks in both prelims papers to be eligible for the mains.

Q4. Are calculators allowed in the Accountancy paper?

No. The use of electronic calculators is prohibited. Candidates may use a nonprogrammable scientific calculator for basic computations only if explicitly permitted in the official notification.

Q5. How many vacancies are there?
